Tami Mandel – President of the Lake Wisconsin Lions
A little about Tami…
Elected as President of Lake Wisconsin Lions July 2025, Tami works tirelessly to serve her community. We took the time to sit her down and ask her a few questions!
What caused you to join Lions? I come from a large family of 7 siblings, so I was pretty much raised helping others. My siblings and I worked together and played together. As an adult, being involved in a service organization just seemed natural to me. My husband was involved in Lions Clubs before we met. I began helping him in 2019, when he was overseeing a new fundraiser for his club in Carlsbad, New Mexico. I really enjoyed working with all the club members on the project!
Unfortunately, due to the sudden impact from the covid-19 shutdowns, that fundraiser ended up getting cancelled. Even so, the Lions members invited me to join the club in 2020. I joined not just to help my husband, but to also give back to my community too.
What do you enjoy / take away from the experience of serving others most? I really do enjoy working with others, especially when it is to help someone in need. At some point in our life, we all needed help; and thankfully someone was there for us. I want to be that someone for others.
As President, what would you like the website visitor to know? Our Lions Club has several focus areas we support. While doing so, we work together as one team to support each other. During my time here, I have found some great friends within the Lions Club who are encouraging and supportive. Being a part of the Lake Wisconsin Lions inspires me to bring my best self to each meeting, event, and interaction.
